Changelog
Latest Browserfly update
v0.1.4
Date Template Variable in Quick Actions
Quick actions now support {{date}} template variable. You can use it to automatically insert the current date into your prompts.
v0.1.2
Minimax Support
Added support for Minimax as an AI provider.
v0.1.0
All-In on BYOK
Browserfly is going all-in on BYOK (Bring Your Own Key). We've retired our built-in AI service. No more credits. No more subscriptions. No more accounts.
What this means:
- Your Models, Your Choice — Connect to OpenAI, Anthropic, local models (Ollama, LM Studio), OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible API
- No Middleman — The extension is free. You pay your AI provider directly — no markup, no hidden fees
- Zero Server Processing — Your messages go straight to your AI provider. We never see them, store them, or process them
- No Account Required — Install, add your key, start chatting

Note: Image upload is temporarily unavailable as we build a fully local solution.
v0.0.9
Support chat with images
You can now drag and drop images from web page or copy/paste images to include images in chat.

v0.0.8
Add Vercel AI Gateway provider support
v0.0.7
Add Z.ai (Zhipu) provider support
v0.0.6
Bilibili Video Captions Support
We've improved the extraction of bilibili video captions for Chinese users. Now you can directly add bilibili video tabs to your chat, and the video captions will be automatically extracted and added to your chat context.

v0.0.3
Quick Actions
You can now create quick actions to instantly send message to AI.

YouTube captions
We've enhanced YouTube caption extraction. Now, when you add a YouTube video tab to your chat, the video captions are automatically included in the chat context, making it easier to reference and discuss video content.

v0.0.2
Ask Mode / Agent Mode
We've separated Ask Mode and Agent Mode to provide more flexibility. Now you can use Ask Mode for simple webpage queries at a lower credit cost. If you need AI to automate tasks by controlling your browser, switch to Agent Mode for more advanced capabilities.

BYOK Support
We now support BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), allowing you to use your own AI API keys with Browserfly. You can use Browserfly completely free in BYOK mode - simply enable BYOK Mode in settings and enter your API key to get started.

Cross-tabs Chat
We've introduced cross-tab chat functionality, enabling seamless communication between different browser tabs. This makes it easier to maintain context across your browsing sessions.
